Carbon Reduction Project
Welcome to the holding page for the Carbon Reduction Project at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall. A website for the project is currently in the works however this page is just to give you a brief overview.
The project has been set up to do two main things:
1. To work on keeping the carbon footprint of the Drill Hall as low as possible
2. To inspire people who live around the Drill Hall to cut their carbon footprints
The kinds of things we will be doing include:
· An exhibition called Some Like it Too Hot, all about how you can save money on heating in your house
· Tours of the Drill Hall to look at the fantastic green technologies that have been built in
· Encouraging community groups to take on 'Green Challenges' to cut their footprints
· Starting up the Village Store in the Spring so you can buy your local fruit and veg
There'll be lots of opportunities to get involved so please keep an eye out, or if you want to be on our mailing list just click here and enter your details.
The project is funded by the Climate Challenge Fund and runs until March 2011.
