3rd INTERNATIONAL COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE SEMINAR/WORKSHOP
As part of Malachi Bogdanov's International Training Programme we are pleased to announce the third Commedia dell'Arte Seminar/Workshop with the award winning Lecoq trained Film and Theatre Director.
AM - Malachi will take students through all the technical aspects of Commedia using leather masks made by Stefano Perocco from Padua, Italy. Technical work will include: introduction of characters, walks, stance, gestures, voice and comedy as well as the history of Commedia Dell'Arte, its relevance to contemporary theatre and its use as a training tool for the modern actor.
PM - Performing of Commedia Dell'Arte. including: the relationship of the leather mask with the audience, Lazzi, Canovacci, plots, character relationships, staging, costumes and props. Characters will include: Pantalone, Arlecchino, Il Capitano, Brighella, Zanni, Pulcinella, Il Dottore Colombina and The Lovers.

StrangeTown runs weekly theatre classes for young people aged 5 - 25, and works with a wide range of artists; actors, designers, directors, writers, musicians and dancers, to explore creative possibilities and to offer links to the profession for young people, should this be the route they want to follow.
